Dogwood Anthracnose
Dogwood Anthracnose is a disease of flowering dogwood (Cornus florida ) and Pacific Dogwood (Cornus nuttallii). This disease usually occurs by a cool, wet spring and fall weather, but occurs throughout the growing season. Drought and winter injury weakens trees and increases the severity of the disease. Cultural practices such as irrigating the tree during drought conditions, mulching to reduce drying out, and pruning of infected leaves before the disease spreads are ways to keep trees healthy. Appalachian Niche can diagnose and treat for dogwood anthracnose. |
